Meet the Staff

"Coke" - Patient Care Coordinator

cokeColleen “Coke” Landis was raised in
the great northwest, living most of her life on the eastside. She graduated from Sammamish High School in Bellevue where she was very active in music and theater.  After High School, Coke decided to pursue her interests in both Music and Theater and attended Northwest College in Kirkland where she auditioned and made ACTS, a small acting / music group that traveled throughout the northwest working with youth, community groups, and churches.  It was during college that Coke met her husband; Dave, who initially started the theater group ACTS 4 years earlier. Coke and Dave have now been married for over 23 years and have one son, Josh who attends UW.

Coke has held many jobs over the years, including janitor for a local drug store, cashier at Wendy's, summer camp youth counselor, legal assistant, barista and office manager. However, Coke will tell you one of the most interesting jobs she has held throughout the years has been that of a background vocalist, studio singer and commercial voice talent for clients such as Cingular Wireless, Haaga Mattresses and locally owned Pacific Fabrics. Listen carefully when you hear a female talent on the radio, it just might be Coke!

When Coke isn't at the office you may find her cooking and entertaining. On the weekends, Coke loves to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys decorating and gardening. Coke is a huge football fan and loves the Huskies and Seahawks! A fun night out with Dave might be taking in a movie and then enjoying a long walk with her two favorite pups Sadie & Cody.

For the last 20+ years Coke has worked in the dental field holding various roles within the front office environment. Coke will tell you she feels very privileged to work in the dental industry. “I love my role of Patient Care Coordinator for Dr. Jones!!! I get to do all the things I enjoy most, talk with people all day long, help new patients become acquainted with orthodontics, meet our colleagues and educate people about our office. It is so fun to have a job I am passionate about…I love to make people smile!”

Tara - Clinical Assistant

Tara was born and raised in Washington. A graduate from Mariner High School and Edmonds Community College, she earned an associates degree in Accounting. She began her career in working with children in day care and then moved into the world of finance, where she learned to provide excellent customer service. After several years in the financial industry Tara decided to start a new career and attended Northshore Dental Assisting Academy and graduated in the top of her class. Tara feels fortunate to be working with Dr. Jones and Coke and to be a part of the team at Jones Family Orthodontics. “It is a place where I can work with a smile on my face, make a contribution and a difference in peoples' lives.”

When Tara is away from work, you can find her spending time with her husband Tod, son Bohdi, daughter Cassidy, and her Bernese Mountain Dog Newman. If she is not cheering her kids on at soccer, baseball, or basketball games, you can find her out on a trail running, up at Stevens Pass skiing, out water skiing, walking her dogs or camping with her family. One of her proudest moments was finishing the Maui Marathon with Team in Training and raising over $5,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
